INTRODUCING THE INTROBIZ EXPO AWARD WINNERS
The Introbiz Expo 2018 was our biggest yet. Wales’ largest business Expo took another leap and is now the largest business Expo by FAR. This could not have been done without everyone who took part, exhibitors, keynote speakers, visitors, sponsors and volunteers alike. We are over the moon to hear how beneficial everyone found the day, with businesses already following up contacts made and making deals left right and centre! We felt it necessary to recognise those that particularly excelled. So, here’s a massive congratulations to all of our Introbiz Expo Award Winners!
BEST LARGE STAND
After an incredibly difficult choice, we decided that Zenith Print and Packaging would be the winner of the Best Large Stand. With their all singing, all dancing funfair style stand, they attracted such a large amount of footfall and clearly made the most out of their Expo experience. Giving away free teddies just before Christmas was a stroke of genius, in our opinion.

BEST MEDIUM STAND
The winner of Best Medium Stand was 123 Divorce. Their stand stood out because of their insistent use of anything pink, if it wasn’t pink, it wasn’t allowed on the stand! Their theory is, in a time of grey, they will be the colour in your life, helping you through the difficult times brought on by a divorce. This branding really makes them stand out and we believe this deserved an award.

BEST SMALL STAND
As a much-loved science discovery centre in Cardiff, it’s a task to demonstrate what Techniquest is all about at a business exhibition in the Motorpoint Arena. Yet they pulled it off with flying colours, by transporting an actual exhibit from their museum. Techniquest wooed visitors with something different, they were able to measure their reaction times by placing their hands onto the exhibit. Nothing like a bit of healthy competition! Therefore, they won Best Small Stand.

BEST MARKETING
We chose Dreams & Wishes charity as our winners of Best Marketing. It was hard to miss them all over social media! This charity is such a worthy cause, granting ill children their dreams and wishes. Their marketing is ‘on point’ and deserves recognition, keep it up Dreams & Wishes!

2ND BEST MARKETING
123 Divorce didn’t just win Best Medium Stand, they also won 2nd Best Marketing! As aforementioned, their pink campaign is hard to miss. They stand out from the crowd and that is what good marketing is all about. Congratulations 123 Divorce!

3RD BEST MARKETING
In 3rd place for Best Marketing was PIXAFUSION Digital. They are a full-service digital marketing agency, and this really shows in their own marketing. Their advertising before and during the Expo was excellent and we loved it!

ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR
After much thought, we decided that Giovanni Malacrino was the worthy winner of Entrepreneur of the Year. He is the Welsh Italian that everyone wants to know and get involved with. His brain for business is impressive and this is evident in the work he has completed this year with Introbiz. We adore his restaurants Giovanni’s Park Place and Giovanni’s The Hayes, and our MDs Paul and Tracey Smolinski really enjoyed trying his Cookery School! His restaurants are very popular with celebrities and he often welcomes the likes of Cliff Richard, Katherine Jenkins, Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones. On top of this, Gio always wants to help people, he has no hidden agenda. He stands out with his charitable work. Keep it up Gio!

SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD
Prodec earned this award well and truly. They closed the biggest deal in the network this year. This took place at the end of a journey, which began with Rebecca knocking on our office door, trying to sell her services to us. We returned the favour by telling her what we do, resulting in her signing up to the Introbiz network. Through the network we connected her with the right people, and hence, the 1.5 million-pound deal was done. Congrats Prodec!

BEST START-UP OF THE YEAR
Cobalt HR earned the title of the Best Start-Up! We think their efforts deserved recognition as they have really grown throughout the year. Kerry has been so active this year, regularly hosting successful events in the city. Keep up the good work, we love watching your journey!

NETWORKER OF THE YEAR
Mike Armstrong from MA Consulting won Networker of the Year for good reason. Although every member of Introbiz deserves an award for networking, Mike raised the bar indeed! After listening to Grant Cardone’s speech at the Expo, Mike is truly 10X-ing his business and his life. What an inspiration!

THE WINNER OF THE PITCH
Our competition, ‘The Pitch’, which takes place at the Expo each year, always attracts some incredible talent. Our judges chose The Disabled Reviewers as 2018’s winners. Their pitch is that they review Disability Aids, Cars, Hotels, Airports, Airlines, Hotels Abroad and much more for disabled people. We are so pleased to have them on board as part of our network.
